Assisted Living Apartment Features

As a Clarendon Hills rental community, we offer a nice variety of well-designed private senior apartments including studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts in Assisted Living. Because we are an owner-operated community, we can accommodate your needs with month-to-month leases, short-stays, and some flexibility with our lease options. With safety being “top of mind,” we’ve built-in technology and features throughout our apartments and the entire building to support your independence and provide additional reassurance.

All of our assisted living apartments are set up with a wireless emergency response call-system. You can choose either a wristband or pendant-type assistance request button. Our building is protected with smart smoke detectors and an up-to-date fire alarm and signaling system connected to the fire department. We have fire sprinklers throughout. Each apartment has its own spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, a kitchenette with easy to operate microwave oven, a small refrigerator with a true freezer, an individually controlled thermostat, and a private telephone line. All utilities are included, along with an amplified hearing-aid compatible telephone and resident-selected TV channels.

Many apartments have walk-in closets, and there is Wi-Fi throughout our building. Every apartment has its own private mailbox, and we’ll take your subscription newspaper to your door each morning. We’ve incorporated many features into our community that offer benefits to people with limitations in movement, flexibility, and strength. Features in each apartment include:

  • Dual lever handled faucets in bathrooms and kitchens
  • Light switches, electrical outlets, and thermostats located at accessible heights
  • Large ergonomic door keys for the lever handles and deadbolt locks on apartment entry doors
  • Vanity sinks convertible for accessibility from wheelchairs
  • Low pile wall to wall carpet without padding for ease of walking and maneuvering
  • Raised toilets for accessibility
  • Grab bars installed throughout bathrooms
  • Wide doorways (35+ inches) into apartments bathrooms and closets
