A Visit to Clover's Green House
On Wednesday, May 4th, Birches Assisted Living and Memory Care took some of the residents to the Clover's Green House to pick out the flowers they would like to plant to enjoy at The Birches. They cleared out all the old roots, put in fresh compost, and planted the flowers they chose. We had six residents help grow those flowers in the boxes for one of Birch's balconies.
It was a beautiful moment, from picking the flowers at the greenhouse to doing all the planting themselves! Plus, they enjoyed getting their hands dirty.
Now when the weather gets nice enough, they can go out on the balcony and enjoy the fruits of their labor. It makes it feel even more like home!
